Job Title: MRP Controller
Location: Stevenage
Salary: Circa £42,000 (depending on experience)
Working Pattern: Hybrid, 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Clearance Required: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship
About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced MRP Controller to support a multi-disciplined team in the delivery of development contracts across multiple programmes.
You will be responsible for the management and co-ordination of all planning-related activities to deliver the Manufacturing Planning Schedule (MPS) to time, cost and quality. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading manufacturing team in Stevenage, supporting multiple project customer deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
* Co-ordinate and execute all activities related to the planning and procurement of materials, ensuring timely and adequate supply.
* Prepare and maintain the MPS in response to customer demand, balancing materials, capacity and inventory targets.
* Release, manage and schedule all work in the MRP system, maintaining accurate delivery forecasts for customers.
* Manage material inventories effectively to minimise excess waste and costs, while maintaining accuracy through regular stock checks.
* Work closely with the Supply Planner to communicate plan changes and resolve supply chain constraints.
* Escalate risks within the sales and operations process related to supplied parts and MPS achievement.
* Collaborate with Logistics Services (Goods Receiving, Stores and Despatch) to manage inventory, resolve queries, and ensure system accuracy.
* Support non-conformance management processes.
* Maintain manufacturing bills of materials and ensure master data accuracy.
* Contribute to the achievement of schedule adherence, inventory, and delivery KPIs.
What We’re Looking For
* HNC Level qualification or equivalent.
* Relevant experience in manufacturing planning, supply chain management, or a related field.
* Experience with ERP systems (SAP experience desirable).
* Strong planning, organisational and analytical skills.
* Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively.
* APICs supply chain certification is beneficial but not essential.
