Salary: £11.59 per hour
Hours: 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 11:30 - 13:30
Working Weeks: 39.2 weeks per year plus holiday entitlement, pro-rated over 12 months
DBS: All school-based roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check, in line with "Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023". DBS results will be considered and risk assessed in partnership with the relevant school safeguarding lead.
Join our School Meals Team at St Peters! We are seeking a dedicated individual to ensure the school kitchen runs smoothly during lunch hours. No experience necessary; a positive attitude and high standards are what we value most. Application deadline: July 30, 2024.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assisting with food preparation.
2. Serving meals and clearing used crockery and cutlery.
3. Preparing the dining area and counter daily.
4. Cleaning kitchen and dining areas, including utensils and crockery.
5. Storing delivered goods.
6. Assisting with buffets and working lunches.
7. Performing additional duties related to the department as assigned.
8. Potentially assisting with food prep for special events such as PTA functions.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
1. Basic food preparation and service skills.
2. Experience working in a busy kitchen environment (desirable but not essential).
3. Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable).
4. Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
5. Understanding of food safety management systems.
6. Creativity and presentation skills (desirable but not essential).
