Gas & Heating Breakdown Engineer
Salary: £42,513 + Excellent Benefits + opportunity to add +30% with overtime/out-of-hours rota.
Location: High Wycombe (Office), Chesham (Depot/Stores), plus travel across targeted postcode areas.
Postcode patches: SG5 to SG9, Bishops Stortford, HP1 to HP9, SL0 to SL9, UB9, OX25.
Role Overview
Due to growth, we are hiring three new Gas and Heating Breakdown Engineers to ensure homes are safe, warm, and compliant. You will perform gas servicing, diagnostics, and repairs independently, delivering first-class solutions.
We provide tools and resources including a fully equipped van, fuel card, mobile phone, tablet, work clothing, and power tools.
Responsibilities
1. Perform gas servicing, diagnostics, and repairs.
2. Ensure health and safety compliance.
3. Deliver excellent customer service with a focus on first-time fixes (95%+).
4. Manage van and stock effectively.
5. Complete paperwork accurately.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Experience
* Proven expertise in gas breakdowns on various appliances.
* ACS Gas Qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, CPA1.
* Electrical competence related to heating systems.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Valid driving license.
Preferred
* Unvented G3 qualification.
Work Area
Based in Chesham and High Wycombe, covering areas including Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, and surrounds.
Hours & Benefits
* Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:30.
* Overtime and out-of-hours rota with potential to boost salary by 30%+.
