A Secondary School in Cheadle are seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organised Receptionist to be the first point of contact at their busy secondary school on a temporary basis. This is a key front-facing role, providing a warm wee to students, parents, staff, and visitors, while supporting the wider administrative team with day-to-day office tasks.
Location: Cheadle
Contract Type: Temporary
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Rate: £ - £15/hour DOEStart Date: ASAP
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Act as the first point of contact for all visitors, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed.
2. Answer iing calls and direct enquiries appropriately.
3. Manage the school’s reception area, maintaining a calm and professional environment.
4. Handle iing and outgoing mail, deliveries, and general correspondence.
5. Support student attendance processes, including signing in/out and late arrivals.
6. Assist with general administrative duties such as photocopying, filing, and data entry.
7. Maintain accurate records and support the wider office team during busy periods.
Key Skills/Experience:
8. Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role within a school
9. Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills.
10. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. Proficient in the use of school MIS (SIMS, Arbor, Bro)
13. Friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
