Position Title: Exterior Project Engineer

Position Description:
Commercial vehicle Antenna Design and Release Engineer
1. Lead the To4 (Team of four) meetings with Finance, Cost Estimating, Commodity and Program Purchasing
2. Provide the engineering perspective for supplier selection by purchase
3. Prepare Engineering Statement of Work (ESOW), the specifications, the Engineering concept and Attachment 3 as input to the RFQ pack and provide input to the ASAP tool and support cost negotiations between Purchasing and Supplier
4. Adhere to GPDS process and related program timings & document deliverables
5. Lead appropriate Antenna PMST, support other PMSTs and interfacing activities and represent in PMT
6. Support Program Reviews
7. Requirements Management (Specification, FSMS, Part Verification/Validation, Deviation)
8. Ensure compliance to all applicable requirements
9. Support Global Core teams with initiatives from Benchmarking events
10. Manage the Supplier for development of Antenna and/or associated interfaces and support the application into Vehicle Programs and ensure support for Program Launch
11. Develop new applications of implementation ready technology and liaise with EESE Climate Core team
12. Support other interfacing activities and PATs, especially the Feasibility Checkpoint reviews
13. Support cross-functional team-working with STA, Supplier, affected PMTs, Brand and JV partners etc. in order to ensure all functional targets are met
14. Liaise with Styling and support Design Technical Operation (DTO)
15. Support Craftsmanship/Vehicle Harmony/Appearance (fit/finish and NVH teams) reviews
16. Liaise and support DPA work streams and pre-Series builds
17. Drive issue resolution process via EESE recommended tracking tools and AIMS
18. Manage Client releasing tools such as FEDEBOM and WERS (inc. CAD) to ensure components are released in time for the program defined effective points
19. Participate in supplier engagement process and support STA throughout the PPAP phases 0.3 and PSW declaration
20. Provide sign-off of related components by managing DV/PVP and eFDVS according to sign-off plan
21. Provide/support Homologation and C/FMVSS documentation
22. Support/ Lead investigation of requested changes in terms of technical feasibility, cost, and timing
23. Ensure quality objectives and robustness targets are met and that lessons learned are encompassed in future designs
24. Support PVT in issue resolution during series production
25. Lead OPD, Quality Improvement and Cost Reduction Programs (TVM), where appropriate
26. Support vehicle launch activities to meet program requirements (PPAP plans, AIMS resolution, part supply)
Additional Information: Full UK driving license is required. Travel maybe required for launch/supplier support and testing.
