Bid Director – Health & Care Home‑based / Hybrid | Attractive package including car and bonus Job introduction This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly influential leadership role within the Health & Care sector, driving the success of complex, high‑value bids that genuinely make a difference. As Bid Director, you’ll lead major new development and retention opportunities, shaping strategy, guiding multi‑disciplinary teams and engaging directly with senior clients across a competitive and regulated healthcare landscape. You’ll be trusted to take ownership of some of the organisation’s most significant opportunities — setting the direction, building compelling solutions and leading from the front to secure sustainable, profitable growth. What you’ll do Lead and direct high‑value new business and retention opportunities within the Health & Care market Own the end‑to‑end bid lifecycle for complex procurements, from strategy through to contract award Develop and deploy winning bid strategies, account plans and capture plans for key “Must Win” opportunities Lead and inspire multi‑functional bid teams, coordinating activity across Sales, Commercial, Operations, Tech & Services Shape innovative, compliant and competitive solutions that clearly differentiate the offer in the healthcare market Lead senior‑level client discussions, presentations and negotiations, incorporating feedback into live opportunities Oversee competitive analysis and market intelligence to inform strategy and strengthen bid positioning Coach, support and develop members of the sales and bid community to improve capability, confidence and win rates What you’ll bring Proven experience leading high‑value bids within the public sector, ideally in Healthcare or similarly regulated environments A strong track record of winning complex, multi‑million‑pound contracts Deep understanding of Soft FM services and healthcare client expectations Excellent commercial judgment, financial literacy and proven negotiation capability Confidence engaging and presenting at executive and board level The ability to lead, influence and align diverse stakeholders within a matrix organisation A strategic, structured mindset with strong governance and bid discipline High energy, resilience and commitment to delivering winning outcomes in competitive environments What’s in it for you You’ll receive an attractive total reward package, including car allowance and bonus, alongside flexible, home‑based working and the opportunity to lead some of the most high‑profile and impactful Healthcare bids in the market.
