Software Engineering Manager (London)
About Circadia Health
Circadia Health is a growth‑stage healthcare AI company transforming senior care with predictive analytics and agentic AI workflows. We have raised $30M+ from Village Global, Headline, and executives at Zoom, Walgreens, and leading healthcare operators, and our technology now touches 40,000+ patients daily across post‑acute and home‑health settings. As we expand our platform globally, we are building a London engineering hub to own critical infrastructure that powers our Circadia Intelligence Platform (CIP) and next‑generation IoT devices.
Why This Role Exists
Our AI agents rely on a robust, secure, and highly available infrastructure spanning cloud, edge, and on‑prem deployments inside skilled‑nursing facilities. We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager focused on infrastructure who can bridge customer conversations to production‑grade deployments, own the full lifecycle of our data and compute platform, and help us meet stringent healthcare compliance requirements in the UK, EU, and US.
Key Responsibilities
* Architect, deploy, and scale cloud‑native and hybrid infrastructure for AI agents and data pipelines (AWS, Azure, on‑prem).
* Lead technical discovery with prospects and customers, translating clinical and operational requirements into secure, scalable infrastructure designs.
* Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters, Terraform IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana).
* Optimise real‑time data pipelines using Apache Kafka, Snowflake, and Postgres—ensuring low‑latency, high‑reliability ingestion from IoT sensors and EHR integrations.
* Collaborate with our Security & Compliance team to uphold SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA/NHS DSPT controls; implement automated policy enforcement and audit trails.
* Automate GPU orchestration for LLM workloads (NVIDIA, AWS/GCP Fargate/EKS, K8s operators).
* Provide post‑deployment support, incident response, and performance tuning while mentoring junior engineers in the London hub.
* Contribute to infrastructure roadmap, capacity planning, and cost optimisation initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
* Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, or C++).
* 5+ years in DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure Engineering, delivering mission‑critical systems in production.
* Deep expertise with AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, Docker/OCI, and Terraform.
* Hands‑on experience with event‑streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis) and relational/analytical databases.
* Demonstrated customer‑facing skills—able to explain complex infrastructure decisions to clinical and IT stakeholders.
* UK work authorisation and willingness to work hybrid from our London office (3 days/week).
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior work in regulated healthcare or finance environments; familiarity with HIPAA, NHS DSPT, GDPR.
* Experience orchestrating GPU/AI workloads, MLops, or large‑language‑model serving.
* Knowledge of edge/IoT deployments and over‑the‑air update strategies.
* Exposure to observability stacks (OpenTelemetry, Loki) and security tooling (Falco, Aqua, Wiz).
What We Offer
* Base salary £100,000 – £170,000 plus meaningful equity.
* Gym membership
* Comprehensive health, dental & vision coverage (UK & global travel).
* 25 days PTO + public holidays, flexible hours, and hybrid work environment.
* Annual learning stipend, conference budget, and option to rotate with our Los Angeles office.
* Opportunity to shape the architecture of a platform improving outcomes for tens of thousands of seniors every day.
