Vacancy: Stores Lead / Inventory Manager – Crawley
Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Stores Lead / Inventory Manager to drive inventory excellence and support our operational goal of “on time in full every time.”
Key Responsibilities:
* With over 5000 stock items, you will oversee all inventory processes, ensuring accurate receiving, secure storage, and timely picking.
* Maintain ERP and WMS system integrity, ensuring physical stock matches system data.
* Resolve discrepancies in quality, quantity, and timing, working closely with Quality and Engineering teams.
* Lead and develop the stores team, assigning tasks and driving daily delivery targets.
* Support procurement with demand forecasting, stock level setting, and E&O reviews.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping, stock security, and location accuracy.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in inventory management within engineering or manufacturing.
* Strong understanding of inventory control, BOMs, technical drawings, and lean stock practices.
* Proficient in ERP/WMS systems, barcode scanning, and MS Office.
* Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
* Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
Desirable:
* Experience in hardware or ironmongery sectors.
* Exposure to operations and planning functions.
