From SME furniture sales to full-scale office clearances and recycling, we provide zero-landfill, high-impact solutions that support the circular economy.
We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on Operative to join our team and support work across all areas of the business. If you’re practical, hard-working, and enjoy variety, this is the role for you.
Role Overview
As a Coggin SOS Operative, you’ll be working across all parts of the business depending on the day's needs, from delivering office desks to stripping furniture for recycling, assisting with installations, and helping the refurbishment team.
You’ll work both on-site (in our warehouse and workshop) and out on jobs with our delivery/removal team. You’ll be trained across all service lines and become a key part of our day-to-day delivery and operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Load and unload office furniture (desks, chairs, storage units, etc.)
* Deliver furniture to clients across the North West and beyond
* Carry out basic on-site installations and positioning of office furniture
* Handle goods with care, and represent the company professionally on-site
Recycling & Removals
* Support office clearance jobs, including heavy lifting and disassembly
* Sort and strip down surplus furniture for zero-landfill processing
* Operate safely in recycling areas (with proper PPE)
* Assist with shredding line and recycling compound tasks
Warehouse & Refurb Support
* Assist with moving stock between refurb, warehouse, and loading areas
* Help with refurb activities such as cleaning, desk resizing, seating refurbishment
* Maintain tidy, efficient workspace and support the warehouse team
Team & Safety
* Work closely with supervisors and other operatives to complete tasks on time
* Follow health and safety guidance at all times
* Be reliable, punctual, and take pride in doing a good job
* Use lifting aids and safety equipment as required
What You’ll Need
* A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in
* Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
* Comfortable with manual handling and physical tasks
* Previous experience in delivery, warehouse, removals, or recycling is a bonus
* Forklift or manual handling certification useful but not required — training can be given
What You’ll Get
* Salary of £23,000–£26,500 depending on experience
* Full training across all parts of the business
* A steady, full-time role with variety and job security
* Opportunity to grow into specialist or supervisory roles as the company expands
* Being part of a team that’s making a positive environmental impact every day
About the Site
* 50,000 sq ft site with multiple buildings
* On-site warehouse, recycling yard, and refurb workshop
* Vans dispatched daily across the North West and beyond
* Busy, hands-on environment with a small, supportive team
* What kind of experience you’ve had (if any)
* What you enjoy about physical or team-based work
* Why this role sounds like a good fit for you
