We are working with a secondary academy within Cumbria looking to appoint a Head of Year to play a pivotal role in supporting students' attendance, behaviour and personal development. The Role As Head of Year, you will: Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer, holding a child protection caseload Lead attendance procedures across your allocated year group, working closely with the Local Authority Develop and deliver targeted interventions to support students with attendance, behaviour and SEMH needs Work collaboratively with parents, staff and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, attendance panels and progress meetings Support assemblies, rewards events and year group activities such as options evenings and prom What We're Looking For Experience working with young people in an educational, pastoral, welfare or youth work setting Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities Excellent communication skills with students, families and professionals Confidence working with safeguarding, attendance and behaviour systems Familiarity with SIMS and Microsoft Office (or willingness to learn) Why Apply?
