Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. The Role is based within a large Specsavers Optical Practice.

Responsibilities

* Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner.
* Answer incoming phone calls, directing them to the appropriate personnel while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
* Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable at all times.
* Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date records.
* Assist with clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents.
* Schedule appointments and manage diary.
* Computer Literate using excel for stock-take, e-mailing customers and triaging appointments
* Support other administrative functions as needed to ensure smooth office operations.

Qualifications

* Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role is preferred.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Excellent clerical skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
* Proficient in data entry with a high level of accuracy.
* Familiarity with computerised office systems and software.
* Strong typing skills with the ability to type at a reasonable speed while maintaining accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly disposition.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
