Main duties of the job
Our Haematology Consultants collaborate closely to provide a BCSH Level 2b/3 inpatient Clinical Haematology service to both Worcestershire and Herefordshire patients. These meetings are regularly attended by specialist Haematopathologists, Radiologists, and Oncologists, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
The Worcestershire Oncology Centre, a Cancer Centre operational for the past five years, is staffed by a full complement of Clinical and Medical Oncologists. The Haematology Department is actively engaged in clinical research and is recognised as a major recruiting centre for Haematological NCRI Trials.
There is significant scope for the successful applicant to develop a specialist interest, should they wish, supported by research links with the University of Birmingham and the University of Worcester.
