Join One of the UKs Leading Welfare Unit Providers Welfare 4 Hire is one of the UKs largest national providers of self-contained mobile welfare units. Operating from five strategically located depots (London, Leicester, Gloucester, Nantwich, and Durham), we are expanding fast and were now looking for an experienced Service & Engineering Manager to take the lead in maintaining high service standards across our engineering teams. Youll be mobile-working across our UK depot network, playing a key role in driving customer satisfaction, compliance, service excellence, and operational efficiency. What Youll Do: As Service & Engineering Manager, you will: Lead, develop and coordinate a growing team of field engineers. Plan & schedule both reactive and scheduled maintenance work. Oversee compliance with industry regulations and internal safety standards. Monitor KPIs: first-time fix rate, 12-hour response targets, and breakdown reduction. Build training and succession plans to scale the department as we grow. Work closely with depot teams and departments including Transport, Logistics, and Hire Desk. Lead quality control initiatives in line with ISO 9001. Prepare performance and compliance reports for senior leadership. What Were Looking For: ? 5 years experience in engineering or service-based leadership roles ? A strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks (IOSH preferred) ? Experience in mobile assets, ideally towable welfare units ? Proactive, analytical, and hands-on leadership style ? Exceptional organisational and communication skills ?
