Who will you be working with?
Melett Ltd, a Wabtec Company, is recruiting an experienced Account Manager to join their team in Barnsley.
Melett is a major global player in the automotive turbocharger aftermarket and part of the Wabtec Corporation Turbocharger Group. We pride ourselves on our product quality and service levels. We engineer, manufacture, and distribute turbochargers, along with sub-assemblies, repair kits, and individual components for turbochargers worldwide to various businesses across the value chain.
Position: Account Manager
Salary: Competitive
Location: S75 1HT, Barnsley (Onsite)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 (flexible)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Annual Leave: 25 days plus bank holidays (total 8 bank holidays)

How will you make a difference?
Drive sales revenues to achieve targets with small-sized customer accounts and identify potential new customers.
What do we want to know about you?
* Ideally, you will have previous experience in a competitive external technical sales role.
* Experience in planning and organizing effective sales calls and visits.
* Experience in key account management, maintaining long-term relationships, and developing strategic plans tailored to key clients.
* Ability to develop existing and new client relationships through telephone/email communications and face-to-face meetings.
* Speaking a second language is desirable.
What will your typical day look like?
* Managing customer profiles proactively, maintaining up-to-date information in the CRM system.
* Reviewing and acting on customer purchasing trends using tools like Jaspersoft and GA4 to ensure retention and growth.
* Promoting the product range, identifying and quantifying future development opportunities, and gathering competitor feedback.
* Identifying new business opportunities with high-revenue customers and recording activities in the CRM system.
* Maintaining regular contact with customers to maximize sales opportunities.
* Liaising with the product development department to support product lifecycle management.
