The Governors of St Patrick’s RC High School are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our school.
Main purpose:
We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to oversee teaching and learning across the school, ensuring consistency when teachers are on PPA, attending in-school meetings, or absent. You will be responsible for delivering lessons during their absence. The ideal candidate will be skilled at engaging and motivating pupils aged 11-16.
This role offers a challenging and rewarding experience within a school that maintains a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected, and involved in decision-making.
* Taking responsibility for groups or classes of students during the short-term absence of their usual teacher. Specific responsibilities include:
* Supervising work set in accordance with school policy
* Liaising with teaching staff regarding the work set for the class
* Managing student behaviour to create a constructive learning environment
