Are you passionate about education and looking to gain valuable experience in secondary schools? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking experienced Cover Supervisors to work on a supply basis at a secondary school in Cardiff.
About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising pre-set lessons across a range of subjects. You will manage the classroom environment, support students with their learning, and ensure the school's policies and procedures are followed.
Responsibilities
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to secondary-age students
* Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students stay on task
* Provide assistance to students where needed to support their understanding
* Liaise with teaching staff and senior leaders as required
* Maintain a positive and safe learning environment
Requirements
* Previous experience working with young people (e.g., in education, coaching, youth work, etc.)
* Strong communication and classroom management skills
* Adaptability and a proactive approach
* A commitment to supporting students education and well-being
* A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new DBS
* Right to work in the UK
* Registered on the EWC
