About The Role Job Title: Talk Community Customer Services Officer Hours: 22.50 Salary: £25,183 to £27,269 per annum (£15,313 to £16,582 pro rata) Location: Blueschool House, Blueschool Street, Hereford Contract: Permanent Closing date: 8 August 2025 Interview date: 20/21 August 2025 The role Deliver and promote an excellent Herefordshire Council Customer Service to the whole community in accordance with Corporate Customer Service Standards and in line with the Talk Community strategic approach. What will you be doing? To deal effectively with and resolve all customer enquiries by providing an excellent telephone, face-to-face and digital customer service. About You As a Customer Services Officer you will: You will be a flexible individual able to deliver advice and services on behalf of the council and partner organisations. Front-line experience, excellent communication skills and a passion for assisting the public and problem solving are essential. The ability to relate well to the community is necessary. GCSE Maths and English grade C or above and a recognised computer skill certificate (ECDL) or equivalent are also essential.
