We are working with a well-established secondary school in Haringey seeking an experienced and ambitious Head of Mathematics to lead their Maths department. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong practitioner with leadership experience to drive standards, support staff development, and ensure excellent outcomes for students across KS3–KS5.
Role Overview:
* Lead and manage the Mathematics department across KS3–KS5
* Develop and implement a clear departmental vision for high-quality teaching and learning
* Support and mentor teaching staff, promoting professional development
* Monitor student progress and attainment, implementing strategies to raise achievement
* Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental resources
* Contribute to the wider leadership and strategic direction of the school
About You:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary level
* Previous middle leadership or departmental leadership experience
* Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment strategies
* Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
