Are you passionate about language, terminology, and science communication? Agilent Technologies is offering a 12-month Linguistics–Terminology Management Industrial Placement (for academic year 2026/2027) within our global Writing Team, based in the UK. This role is ideal for students currently enrolled in Terminology, Linguistics, or related programs, who want hands-on experience in terminology management, linguistics assets, and global content operations within a science-driven organization.
As a Linguistics-Terminology Management Intern, you will support Agilent’s global terminology management efforts, helping our marketing content teams communicate clearly and consistently across all markets. You’ll work with termbases, content authoring tools, collaborating with colleagues across multiple functions to ensure our linguistic assets are accurate, culturally sensitive, and aligned with our brand voice.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain multilingual terminology databases and linguistic assets.
• Support the use of content editing platforms and authoring assistance tools.
• Collaborate with global teams including product managers, marketing strategists, and creative designers.
• Ensure terminology is accurate, up-to-date, consistent, and aligned with quality and brand standards.
• Assist in streamlining terminology processes and addressing language-related challenges.
Qualifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Familiarity with terminology tools ( termbases) and content editing platforms is desirable
• Experience or coursework in terminology management is desirable
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, virtual team environment
