Job Description
Finance Data Analyst responsibilities:
7. Examine financial data to uncover trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
8. Produce consistent finance and performance reports
9. Support the creation of KPI and performance reporting packs
10. Evaluate revenue streams, cost structures, and key business drivers
11. Develop and maintain detailed reports to support strategic decision-making
12. Assist in building financial models to forecast future outcomes
13. Derive clear, actionable insights from large datasets
14. Identify and implement process improvements, including automation and AI-driven solutions
15. Present financial insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Data Analyst should have:
16. Strong academic background in accounting, finance, data science, or a related discipline
17. Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, and structured reporting; experience with Power BI is advantageous but not essential
18. Proficient in financial analysis and reporting using spreadsheets and database tools
19. Experienced in managing and interpreting large datasets
20. Sound understanding of accounting standards and financial regulations
21. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail
22. Effective communicator, able to present insights clearly to a range of audiences
