We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer (Senior IT Advisor) who will join the Infrastructure Data Centre team to play a key role in supporting our data centre related services including Active directory, single sign on, data storage, O365/Entra ID, Physical & virtual servers and storage.
We are currently planning to implement a more cloud-focussed approach to our infrastructure, so experience of workload and service migrations would be beneficial.
The role holder will contribute to an effective and professional IT service, by supporting the function of the team, sharing knowledge and expertise; and providing line management where appropriate. Experience in data centre hardware troubleshooting and maintenance, including replacement of equipment and power supplies is essential along with experience in leading and contributing to projects as a technical lead with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

The successful candidate should hold a degree or recognised IT/Information qualification and/or equivalent relevant experience. Working as a Systems Engineer (Senior IT Advisor), the role holder will have the ability to understand and interpret user requirements and provide appropriate advice and guidance. Furthermore, they should also have the ability to organise, prioritise and manage multiple activities at any one time, delivering effectively in a busy environment.
Ideally, the successful candidate would have experience of ITIL processes and knowledge of ITSM/ I.T. project management.
