What you'll be doing
As our Media Relations Manager, you'll play a central role in how we tell the story of our organisation to the world. You'll help shape how we respond to the news agenda, manage day‑to‑day media enquiries, and build strong relationships with international journalists. Working closely with colleagues across our global teams, you'll craft compelling media content, lead proactive campaigns, and guide our media engagement for high‑profile events, anniversaries, rededications and reburial ceremonies.
You'll become the trusted point of contact for press activity, ensuring our work and the stories of those we commemorate reach audiences across traditional, digital and international outlets. With support from specialist agencies, you'll pitch stories, monitor impact, handle reactive issues, and bring a calm, thoughtful approach to sensitive topics. This is a role where teamwork, creativity and good judgement truly matter and where your work will help secure how history is remembered.
What you need to have
Solid experience in PR, media relations or a press‑office environment
Proven ability to build strong relationships with journalists and deliver high‑quality editorial coverage
Strong written English and the ability to craft accurate, engaging media materials
Experience developing and delivering media strategies
Innovative thinking on how AI can support outputs
Ability to analyse media performance using tools such as Meltwater or Google Analytics
Excellent stakeholder management skills and a collaborative working style
Proven experience of team collaboration in content generation for multiple channels
French language skills are desired but not compulsory
