Clinical Lead - Elderly Care - NMC Pin Essential
Location: Exeter, Devon
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contracted Hours: 37.5 hours per week (2 x 12-hour clinical shifts + 2 x supernumerary days)
PLEASE NOTE: A valid and in-date NMC pin is essential for this position. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship currently.

Overview:
Compass Associates are proud to be working with a reputable care provider offering exceptional standards of residential and nursing care for elderly residents across the South West. They are seeking a Clinical Lead to join their dedicated and dynamic team at a warm, welcoming 35-bed dual-registered home based just outside of Exeter.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for elderly care and proven team leadership abilities to step into a senior clinical role. With a balance of hands-on nursing shifts and dedicated time for leadership duties, this role offers a rewarding blend of clinical care and team development responsibilities.
Role Responsibilities:
* Lead two clinical shifts and two supernumerary days per week
* Complete medication rounds and clinical assessments
* Review and develop person-centred care plans
* Supervise, support and clinically develop a team of 4 nurses, 6 carers, and 1 Team Leader per shift
* Participate in GP rounds and liaise with families and external professionals
* Support audits, training, compliance and quality assurance
* Act as a role model and lead by example within a small, close-knit team
Requirements:
* NMC Registered Nurse (Adult or Mental Health) - RGN or RMN
* Strong clinical background and experience in a care home setting
* At least two years’ experience in elderly care nursing
* Previous team leadership or clinical lead experience preferred
* Confident, resilient and able to support and challenge effectively
* Passion for high-quality elderly care and continuous improvement
* Willing to work alternate weekends and step in for clinical emergencies when needed
