About The Role
Excalon is recruiting for the Head of Finance at a pivotal point in our growth journey.
We seek a high-performing, technically skilled finance professional ready to step into a senior role supporting an efficient and compliant finance function.
As part of the SLT and reporting to the Finance Director, the Head of Finance will collaborate with key stakeholders including the Senior Leadership team, Group counterparts, auditors, and external financial bodies.
Responsibilities
* Financial Reporting: Oversee daily financial management, performance, and compliance, including preparing monthly financial and management accounts, reports, and annual statutory financial statements.
* Financial Control: Prepare monthly financial forecasts and budgets. Ensure all control accounts are reconciled in accordance with company policies and procedures. Uphold all Group policies related to Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Information Security.
* Stakeholder Management: Partner with the Senior Leadership Team, Operations, Commercial, Business Development, and Support functions to enhance business performance and efficiency.
* Strategic Leadership: Contribute to management through preparation and interpretation of management accounting and other key reports.
* Audit and Compliance: Manage relationships with external auditors and advisors, leading the annual audit process, and supporting tax planning and compliance.
About You
* Professional Accounting Qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
* Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
* Proven senior finance leadership experience
* Confidence in forecasting and budgeting
* Experience in engineering/construction preferred
* Microsoft Dynamics (Navision/Evision) experience preferred
