Social Media Specialist (Fixed Term Contract) — Location: London or Warwick (Flexible onsite, approx. once a week)
About the Role:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and skilled Social Media Specialist to join their Corporate Communications & Branding team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage the day-to-day operations of social media channels, create compelling content, and engage with diverse audiences. You will play a pivotal role in aligning social media strategies with corporate objectives while collaborating with a global team of Digital Content Specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
* Platform Management: Oversee daily operations of multiple social media accounts, including ideation, approvals, creation, and timely content delivery.
* Content Creation: Develop original and engaging content (text, images, videos) tailored for LinkedIn and other platforms with support from a creative agency.
* Strategy Implementation: Execute the global digital content strategy while providing innovative ideas for optimisation.
* Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyse content performance metrics, offering actionable insights for improvement.
* Timely Delivery: Manage the content calendar to ensure alignment with marketing campaigns and timely digital content distribution.
* Employee Advocacy: Encourage and empower employees to share brand-compliant content on their personal social media accounts authentically.
* Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to advise on content strategies and design.
* Community Management: Actively engage with followers by responding to comments and messages promptly.
* Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, audience preferences, and emerging digital formats to enhance content strategy.
* Expanding Beyond Social: Collaborate with team members to create, edit, and manage various digital content types.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, along with Instagram, Facebook, and X.
* Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
* Strong analytical abilities to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
* Proficiency with social media management tools, analytics platforms, and Content Management Systems is desirable.
* Detail-oriented with exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is essential.
