Assistant Residential Support Worker - Children & Young People
Salary: £25,922 - £28,624 (pro rata for 25 hours per week)
Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people? We are looking for committed and resilient individuals to join our team as Assistant Residential Support Workers in a secure, supportive, and structured environment that prioritises the welfare and development of the young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote the best interests of children and young people, supporting them to achieve positive outcomes.
Work proactively with children who may display challenging behaviours, ensuring they have access to advocacy and complaints procedures.
Act as a consistent advocate for the children and young people in your care.
Communicate effectively and professionally-verbally, non-verbally, and in writing.
Apply knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation and safeguard best practices.
Implement and follow behaviour management strategies, including those learned through MAPA (Management of Actual or Potential Aggression) training.
Contribute to and implement care plans, risk assessments, and other associated documentation.
Work closely and sensitively with children, young people, their families, and multi-agency professionals.
Uphold safeguarding protocols and report any concerns in line with statutory guidance.
Demonstrate safe working practices and high levels of confidentiality and professionalism.
Appropriately challenge any inappropriate behaviour.
Administer and co-sign medication in line with Controlled Drugs and Medication Policies.About You:

You hold or are willing to work towards a Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Children and Young People (CCYP), Health & Social Care, or equivalent.
You are committed to delivering excellent care and demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience.
You treat all individuals with respect and uphold professional standards of behaviour.
You are committed to ongoing learning and development and can adapt to a dynamic, sometimes challenging, care environment.What We Offer:
