We are seeking a Consultant in Gastroenterology to join a busy and well-structured acute hospital service in Kerry.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide Consultant-level care in Gastroenterology, including outpatient and inpatient services
* Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures
* Contribute to the acute medical take and management of complex medical patients
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across medical specialties
* Support teaching and supervision of NCHDs
* Participate in audit, quality improvement, and service development initiatives
Requirements
* Formal training in Gastroenterology
* Specialist registration (or eligibility) with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)
* Experience at Consultant level or equivalent
* Strong endoscopy experience and procedural competency
* Excellent communication and team-working skills
