You will design complex problems, stress-test AI reasoning, and push the frontier of what AI can do. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers who want meaningful, intellectually stimulating work on their own schedule. Masters & PhD Researcher (AI Training)

Responsibilities
* Design, solve, and review advanced, multi-disciplinary problems with real-world complexity and academic rigor
* Apply your research expertise to construct problem statements that genuinely challenge and improve AI reasoning capabilities
* Evaluate AI outputs for depth, accuracy, and logical soundness across technical domains
* Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to improve model performance
* Ensure every deliverable meets the highest standards of clarity, precision, and intellectual depth
Who You Are
* Holds a Master's or PhD in a STEM or highly technical field from a top university
* Has a strong track record in research, publications, or complex technical project work
* Thinks rigorously — you approach problems with the same systematic depth you'd bring to a peer-reviewed paper
* Communicates with exceptional clarity in both written and verbal form
* Self-directed and reliable when working independently across asynchronous workflows
* Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
Nice to Have
* Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation systems
* Proficiency in Python, R, or other research-oriented programming languages
* Familiarity with AI tools, language models, or machine learning workflows
* Experience designing or grading rigorous academic assessments or problem sets
