Position Context:
Seqens Custom Specialties is one of Europe’s largest contract manufacturers, with two sites on Teesside employing over 180 people. It is a leading provider of custom manufacturing services to petrochemical and speciality chemical companies, as well as smaller niche firms.
This role is a 12-month contract supporting the Supply Chain function, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager.
Main tasks:
1. Receiving and processing sales orders, liaising with customers to ensure acknowledgment and on-time delivery.
2. Checking prices against customer orders.
3. Preparing documentation and liaising with banks as necessary.
4. Obtaining economical freight rates and liaising with hauliers for timely delivery.
5. Providing carrier notifications and shipping documents.
6. Preparing export documentation and liaising with customs brokers.
7. Updating details on the Movement Database.
8. Coordinating raw material deliveries with operations.
9. Processing purchase orders and coordinating with suppliers and hauliers.
10. Preparing month-end reports for customers.
11. Supporting Commercial Managers.
12. Liaising with storage companies for stock movements and despatch documentation.
13. Supporting accounts with credit blocks, invoice queries, and cost approvals.
14. Logging customer complaints.
15. Maintaining stock levels to meet business and customer needs.
16. Coordinating production and drumming slots with operations.
Required skills:
* Experience in customer service or supply chain within a chemical manufacturing environment is advantageous.
* Experience in import/export logistics, including deep sea, short sea, and EU logistics, is preferred.
* Strong organizational and planning skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
