A fantastic opportunity has become available to work within the administration team for the Pain Services at the Royal United Hospitals Bath, where you will be providing support for both national and local Pain services.
Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support to the Pain Specialty including responding to telephone and email enquiries, processing referrals, booking outpatient appointments, booking residential programmes for inpatients, booking clinic rooms, liaising with clinicians to ensure waiting times are met and patient experience is of a gold standard.
* Register all patients on the Millennium system in a timely manner.
* Maintain accurate records to track patient pathways within the 18 week breach period.
* Order items via UNIT 4 purchasing system, including stationery, equipment, courses, travel, accommodation, invoicing for private patients, and any other requests.
* Maintain records of the Pain Specialty activity data.
* Attend and participate in meetings across the specialty; take minutes where directed by Line Manager.
* Provide administration cover across the specialty/Directorate as directed.
Qualifications
The role requires a candidate who has excellent communication, organisation and time management skills. Previous administration or customer experience is desired but is not essential. The role will involve working in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment, where every day will be different, so you will need to be flexible, adaptable and able to work using initiative.
