The Governing Body wish to appoint an excellent classroom teacher, to work at Penrhys Primary School and complement our existing team.
Penrhys Primary School is situated in the heart of the Rhondda Valley. With picturesque views and a happy, caring staff, we are proud of our community school and would like to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and diligent teacher, who will also have the added responsibility of becoming an Area of Learning and Experience Lead. The appointment will offer a temporary contract in the first instance and will be subject to review at the end of the Summer Term 2026.
The successful candidate would be responsible for teaching a mixed class of Year Two, Three and Four children and would be required to lead a small team of Learning Support Assistants. The delivery of well planned, high quality experiences on a daily basis is of paramount importance.
The successful candidate will need to have a secure knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales along with excellent behaviour management skills. It is also essential that the successful candidate has the ability to forge positive relationships with children, staff, parents and members of the Governing Body.
