An exciting opportunity has arisen for x3 Porter/Driver positions based at University Hospital Ayr.
What You Will Do
Clinical Support Services is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join the Portering Department. This role includes a range of responsibilities such as patient meal delivery, security support, grounds maintenance, general portering duties, and driving tasks. A flexible approach to hours and shift patterns and Hospital location is essential. Previous experience would be advantageous but full training will be given.
Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job
The porter role is varied and includes duties such as waste management, transfer of patients around hospital sites, transportation of meals, linen, specimens, stores, equipment and supplies. Porters also coordinate internal and external mail, undertake mortuary duties and assist in incidents related to violence and aggression. Security related duties are included.
Hours
37 hours per week, covering day, night and weekend shifts.
UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership
A UK driving licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
