About the Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Operations & Forwarding Officer to support the Cargo Main Office with daily operational and administrative tasks. You'll play a key role in warehouse planning, forwarding processes, customs, transport coordination, audits, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities
• Support daily admin across Operations and Forwarding, including manifests, inventory control and customs clearance.
• Assist with warehouse planning, vessel arrivals, resource scheduling and ERP updates.
• Manage purchasing, stock levels and maintain food safety certifications.
• Report equipment breakdowns and support engineering coordination.
• Collate operational data for finance and internal reporting.
• Act as a key contact for customers, carriers, port authorities and hauliers.
• Conduct audits, support investigations and contribute to process improvements.
• Ensure stock rotation and optimal warehouse capacity.
What You'll Bring
• Minimum 2 years' experience in forwarding, customs or a similar operational role.
• Strong customer service background and confident dealing with multiple stakeholders.
• Good MS Office and ERP system skills.
• GCSE English & Maths (grade 4 or above).
• Excellent organisation, communication and problem solving abilities.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
• High attention to detail and flexible, positive approach
• Previous experience within a Transport environment (desirable)

Hours of work: 40 hrs per week Monday – Friday (with occasional weekend working when required)
Salary: IRO £31k DOE
