Overview
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Oxfordshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND, and other needs such as SEMH needs. We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD and SLD. This role is suitable for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who are eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner.

Role and responsibilities
* This role involves providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and require support in their educational and social-emotional journey
* Provide support via flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
* Plan each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring
* Provide holistic and engaging sessions meeting individual needs and progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
* Safeguarding knowledge and understanding
* Enhanced DBS (cost support available if needed)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with right to work, including for remote/online assignments
* Ability to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies
Employment status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service; paid via PAYE
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* INSURANCE covers the work you do
* Not a self-employed position
