Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Consultant with a proven track record of delivering procurement excellence in complex environments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement or commercial roles and must already hold active Security Clearance (SC).
You will support a variety of procurement and commercial activities across major programmes within the public sector, defence, or secure government domains.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead or support end-to-end procurement processes in compliance with public sector regulations (e.g., PCR 2015).
* Develop procurement strategies, tender documentation, evaluation criteria, and contracts.
* Engage and manage stakeholders across commercial, technical, legal, and operational teams.
* Conduct supplier market analysis, risk assessments, and contract negotiations.
* Ensure value for money and compliance with organisational and legislative standards.
* Provide advice on sourcing strategies, procurement policies, and contract management.
* Support commercial assurance activities and governance processes.
Requirements:
* Active SC Clearance (Security Check) – essential
* Minimum 5 years of procurement/commercial experience, ideally within the public sector, defence, or secure government environments.
* Strong understanding of UK Public Procurement Regulations (e.g., PCR 2015, DSPCR).
* Demonstrated experience in managing complex tenders and contracts.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and e-procurement tools (e.g., Jaggaer, Bravo, Delta).
* Relevant qualifications such as MCIPS or equivalent – desirable.
