People and OD Administrator

We are seeking an organised and proactive People & Organisational Development (P&OD) Assistant to provide high-quality administrative support to the P&OD Directorate.
Working closely with the Head of Employee Relations and the Wider Employee Relations Team, you will support key P&OD processes, including Subject Access Requests, P&OD Data Management, policy support, and Employee Relations procedures. You will also serve as the first point of contact for P&OD-related queries, helping ensure efficient service and a positive staff experience.
* Proven administrative experience in a busy office environment
* Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail
* Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Ability to manage competing priorities and handle sensitive information discreetly
* Experience in HR / People & OD
* Experience using HR systems (e.g. ESR)
* CIPD qualification or willingness to work towards one
Main duties of the job
* Provide comprehensive administrative support, including minute-taking, transcription, correspondence and record keeping
* Maintain and update P&OD trackers, systems and reports (including sickness absence data)
* Support formal processes such as disciplinary, grievance and appeal hearings
* Organise meetings and prepare documentation in line with Trust policies and timelines
* Support P&OD projects, audits, training logistics and policy updates
* Handle sensitive information and confidentially, and in line with data protection requirements

Job responsibilities

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE (A-C) or equivalent in English
* CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice or equivalent HR experience
* Commitment to working towards a relevant HR qualification
Experience
* Proven administrative and organisational experience in an office environment
* Experience using HR systems/databases (e.g., ESR)
* Experience in a Human Resources setting
Knowledge / Skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Excellent written English and accuracy in transcription
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
* Understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality principles
* Knowledge of employment law and HR policies
