Polypipe Building Services specializes in engineered above ground drainage and water supply systems, leveraging offsite fabrication to design and deliver solutions to mechanical and public health engineers, M&E contractors and local authorities. With over 50 years of experience and the well‑known Terrain brand, we serve commercial, high‑rise residential, healthcare, education and leisure projects.
Role Overview
This role will be project focused, selling the entire range of Polypipe products into the commercial market. The product ranges include above ground drainage, water supply systems, advantage fabrication systems and all associated building services products and services.
Area: This role will cover the following postcodes: NN, MK, SG, LU, HP, WD, HA, N, NW, W. Successful candidates must live within the patch.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver expected conversion rates on a select number of projects using a cradle‑to‑grave approach in collaboration with the wider sales team.
* Liaise with all key stakeholders on new projects, documenting progress and activities on all personally assigned opportunities.
* Plan diary effectively and forward‑plan.
* Manage contractor terms and agreements, including regular reviews of levels and spend to justify terms.
* Provide first‑line technical dialogue and information to the selected customer base.
* Liaise with clients and handle objections.
* Respond promptly to all incoming enquiries and provide excellent customer service.
* Complete weekly reporting in the CRM system.
* Identify incremental growth opportunities.
* Represent and support the business at various social and brand awareness events.
* Support operational departments with site assistance and technical training.
* Own delivery and supply of your projects.
Skills & Requirements
* Excellent knowledge of the M&E marketplace.
* Proven track record working on large‑scale commercial projects, ability to handle technical dialogue at all levels, and experience presenting to groups.
* Ability to quickly become a technical specialist in PBS products and services.
* Understanding of the project stages and decision‑making process in commercial construction.
* Driving licence (essential).
