Biology Academic Mentor Science Support Role
Location: Greenwich, South East London
Contract: September 2025 July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Are you a Biology graduate looking to gain experience in education?
A well-regarded secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a Biology Academic Mentor to support students across the Science department.
As a Biology Academic Mentor, youll work with pupils in KS3 to KS5, providing classroom assistance, subject-specific intervention, and academic mentoring. Youll also support learners with SEN, helping to remove barriers to learning and promote engagement in Biology and wider Science subjects.
Key responsibilities:
Providing in-class support in Biology and Science lessons
Running 1:1 and group interventions for underachieving students
Assisting with lesson resources, planning, and marking
Supporting students with SEND or EAL backgrounds
This role is ideal for aspiring Science teachers or those interested in supporting students in Biology.
Were looking for:
A 2:1 or First-Class degree in Biology or a related field
A genuine interest in education and inspiring young learners in Science
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Commitment from September 2025 to July 2026
