The Role
1. Assess, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients with undifferentiated and urgent conditions
2. Manage minor illness and acute presentations independently
3. Take comprehensive patient histories and perform advanced clinical assessments
4. Request and interpret diagnostics (pathology, imaging, ECGs) within scope of practice
5. Prescribe medications as an Independent Prescriber (where qualified)
6. Safely escalate and refer patients to GPs, specialty teams, or Emergency Departments as needed
7. Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration and medical emergencies
8. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to clinical governance standards
