Greenwell Gleeson are currently recruiting for a large retail business based in Warwick to recruit a Management Accountant on full time, permanent basis. This is an on-site role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.We're looking for a proactive and detail-driven Management Accountant. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with both people and accounts, has excellent Excel and analytical skills who wants to develop their accounting experience in a supportive environment.Key responsibilitiesProduce the monthly management accounts for the German company, ensuring accuracy and completenessManipulate, structure and analyse financial data to prepare it for reportingCreate financial schedules, commentary and supporting documentationComplete month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliationsMaintain and update financial spreadsheets, reports and databasesIdentify opportunities to automate or streamline processesOverseeing the reconciliation of several multi-currency bank accountsProducing and submitting VAT returns for all companies in the countries we operate (UK, Spain and Germany)Monitoring and reporting movements of stock between different tax jurisdictionsProducing other statutory reports as requiredProcessing monthly payroll for the UK business, maintaining Group HR databaseManaging and reviewing the credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely processingSupport month-end and year-end closing proceduresProvide financial training and support to other departments as neededSupervising a team of two accounts assistantsWhat we are looking forExperience within a finance or accounting role (Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant, Finance Analyst)Excellent Excel skills - including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data manipulationStrong analytical skills with great attention to detailGood understanding of core accounting principlesStrong communication and organisational skillsDesirable (but not essential)Part qualified AAT / ACCA / CIMAExperience with Sage 50 PayrollExperience with Kerridge (ADP Key-Loop) Autoline systemUnderstanding of Spanish or German languageGreenwell Gleeson Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.To find out more about how and why Greenwell Gleeson Ltd process your personal data in line with the data protection regime please go to the privacy notice on our website
