The Senior Packaging Designer will be a key player in our mission to inspire a sense of joy and solutions for our customers. We tell a compelling and cohesive brand story across our ranges. Our team executes creative strategy, packaging design & brand building, ensuring that our creative execution aligns across all.
This role will deliver compelling creative for Dunelm, responding to briefs across multiple channels while working collaboratively with your team and stakeholders. Working closely with the packaging design manager, the senior creative designer will oversee and execute multiple projects from brief to finished product to meet deadlines, manage supplier output and packaging guideline distribution and present concepts to leadership and stakeholder teams. Key to this role is staying up to date with the latest design, style, industry, tech and platform trends and demonstrate the application of these within your projects in order to create work that celebrates and resonates with our customers.
What you'll be doing
* A developed sense of design, strong understanding of packaging and design systems, with an excellent eye for detail and brand consistency
* Collaborate with design and commercial teams to understand briefs and translate them into creative output that meets the needs of both our stakeholders and our customers.
* Ability to coach junior team members and work collaboratively.
* Inspire & motivate the team to maintain design consistency.
* Lead campaigns along with copywriters, photographers, art directors and illustrators.
* Effective presentation skills. Communicate your creative response to various audiences in a compelling and connected manner.
* Ability to take projects from brief to finished print production.
* Manage supplier artwork approvals and sign offs.
* Work closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver outstanding and engaging creative content across all Dunelm platforms.

* Experience overseeing freelancers and supplier output.
* A passion for brand and a love for what Dunelm stands for.
* Knowledge of cutter guides and artwork templates.
* Previous experience producing graphic content.
* Able to support the Packaging Design Manager and work closely with design ops and project management.
