The Radiology Admin & Clerical team is looking for flexible and motivated people to join our team.

We are looking for people passionate about providing exemplary service, to work as part of a dynamic team helping to deliver a safe and effective radiology service at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

Success requires working methodically, using initiative, being conscientious, and having excellent interpersonal communication and customer care skills. Applicants should have a keen eye for detail, remain calm under pressure and prioritize workload.

This is a varied role, including booking radiology appointments by phone with patients, sending letters, coordinating inpatient and ED appointments, and receiving patients on arrival.


Location & Hours

We have both full and part-time vacancies available. Please indicate preferred hours in your application.

Shifts are allocated on a roster basis, beginning as early as 7 am and finishing as late as 8 pm. We provide a 7‑day service, so working weekends and bank holidays is required.

This is a multi‑site role, working at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, the new Community Diagnostic Centre (based on NNUH site grounds) and Cromer District Hospital.

* Schedule imaging appointments for Ultrasound, X‑ray, CT, and MRI, contacting patients to confirm date, time, provide directions and relevant information.
* Answer incoming calls promptly, manage voicemails and emails, and assist patients, staff, and healthcare professionals with any queries.
* Cover various reception desks, seeing patients for appointments and handling queries; some desks liaise with wards and portering services to arrange inpatient scheduling.

Responsibilities

1. Undertake all reception duties in a pleasant and courteous manner with patients, visitors, and other hospital staff.
2. Liaise directly with radiographers and other departmental team members, relaying information accurately and promptly.
3. Undertake and update Soliton, ICE, and PAS training to ensure duties are performed accurately and efficiently.
4. Check ICE for electronic requests and deferred orders, and register new patients on PAS timely to ensure efficient running of the department.
5. Undertake PAS training to check, amend and register patient demographic details as necessary, and check patient activity within the hospital, including changes to clinic appointments.
