Offer description

Are you a band 6 nurse looking to work in an environment that develops your knowledge, leadership skills and experience?

If you have answered yes, then I believe that Maple Ward is the right place for you.

Meadowfield is an acute mental health hospital in Worthing, we are part of Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. We have 3 wards at Meadowfield Rowan and Maple are for working age patients and Larch Ward is for patients over the age of 65. We also have a new POS (136 suite) which consists of a secure outdoor space, separate accommodation, assessment and office space. ECT and Neuromodulation services are also provided at Meadowfield as well as The Haven which is a 24/7 crisis assessment unit, providing an alternative to A&E to provide a comprehensive biopsychosocial crisis assessment for any adult aged 18 or over who is not subject to the Mental Health Act.

We are an open unit, and our open doors are something that we are very proud of and this brings a very different feel to the unit than those that are not able to use this approach.

And we would like you to be a part of our team during these exciting times.

This post offers the Trust's £2,000 Golden Hello or Relocation Incentive for Band 6 Nurses & Practitioners, (pro rata and subject to terms and conditions; please see attached Protocol Document for full details).

We are looking for experienced mental health nurses who are motivated, dynamic and forward thinking. Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team you will be able to demonstrate sound communication and clinical skills and be willing to develop these. In return you will benefit from working in a therapeutic environment conducive to the treatment and recovery of people with acute functional mental health problems.

Skills and training will be fully utilised and developed through clinical supervision and training opportunities as well as Trust essential training and an Emerging Leadership Course. There are plenty of opportunities for career development.

We would like to create an environment where service users, nurses, nurse associates, nursing assistants and carers are all leaders and actively involved in making decisions about our services.

We're a large NHS Mental Health Trust in South East England. We're looking for people to help us provide high quality services for the patients, carers and local communities we serve.
