An opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Ward Manager to join our team for a 28 bedded General Surgical Ward - Ward 52. The Deputy Ward Manager is responsible for leading the shift to support patient flow and timely discharge. This involves multidisciplinary team working with a variety of specialty clinical teams. They will work clinically, providing leadership and support to colleagues and role modelling behaviours and attitudes in line with the Trust's behavioural standards. They will also support the Ward Manager in some administration duties, audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Main duties of the job
As an experienced nurse you will work both clinically as a member of the nursing team, providing clinical advice, expertise and leadership to all staff and in partnership with the Ward Manager. You will deputise in the Ward Manager's absence to ensure a positive patient experience through the delivery of high standards of care at all times.
