Business Development Manager - Fleet Group 1 Automotive UK - (Multi-brand) Remote working covering South East & Southern Anglia UK Territory Up to £45,000 plus Commission Car The ability to develop a winning prospecting strategy, selling desirable fleet-friendly car & LCV brands As we grow our existing team, this is a rare opportunity to join a leading UK fleet retailer and reporting to Head of Fleet Sales (Contract Hire and Leasing). As a high-performing individual and with a proven track record in business development, Group 1 is looking to appoint an energetic Business Development Manager with account management experience who will have a passion for prospecting and responsible for targeting and developing a pipeline of fleet operators running in excess of 50 vehicles. Listening to your prospects, understanding their fleet vehicle requirements and favourably positioning our world-class brands including Audi, BMW, MINI, Cupra, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, SMART, Toyota Car, Toyota LCV, Volkswagen Car & Volkswagen LCV you will work independently but in a experienced team of three. Alongside your customer-centric attitude, you will also have an ability for building trust and in time, your prospects will become customers, who you will also manage day to day as their entry point into Group 1, supported by our in-life fleet hubs. This role not only allows you to showcase your sales skills but also provides avenues for career growth with in-role training and development programs. What You’ll Do Day to Day: Working independently, developing a clear prospect strategy inside your territory that targets and nurtures fleet operators running in excess of 50 vehicles. Targeting major employers who are already operating or seeking to introduce a salary-sacrifice scheme. Be confident creating an on-line presence utilising social media channels to market, prospect, develop and secure new business appointments. Handling quoting requests and working with our fleet hubs to propose finance with various online funding platforms Prioritise a sharp response time and attention to detail for all in-bound opportunities. Ensure any service level agreements are adhered to at all times, leading customer reviews and owning retrospective actions. Maintain a database using agreed systems to provide regular, systematic reports showing activity, contacts, communications, sales progress, sales analysis and potential areas for sales, profit opportunities. Act with integrity and mitigate the organisation from any fleet related risk, understanding, anticipating and reacting as appropriate to change or headwinds in which the fleet strategy may need to adjust. Be comfortable with rejection and maintain enthusiasm to win every single day. This role will demand a disproportionate amount of time is given to new business prospecting. Develop, review and create relevant policies to ensure the business and stores act and undertake any fleet related activity as appropriate Helpful Skills and Qualifications: Don’t worry about ticking off every single skill here − if you care about delivering great experiences as much as we do, we want to hear from you.
