Salary and hours
Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 per hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
Policy: new colleagues are offered a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week. If you would like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities and would love to hear from you.
Hours are scheduled within a weekly availability window. You will be notified of shifts with three weeks notice. We aim to support flexibility if your available times are close to but not exactly the advertised times.

Responsibilities
* Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; delivering great natural service.
* Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services in the store.
* Work across the store in service, picking, and replenishment areas as required.
* Apply training to work safely, effectively, and deliver excellent service.
* Make decisions that are right for customers and deliver in-store routines to meet customer needs.
* Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understand store performance and contribute to driving service, sales, waste reduction, and profitability.
* Handle products with care to maintain quality for customers.
* Represent Tesco values, be welcoming, and follow store policies.
* Occasionally assist with deliveries into the store.
