Do you have a passion for helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally? We are seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in the NP13 area. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils at a key stage in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Year 2 pupils across the full curriculum.
Deliver targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy, either 1:1 or in small groups.
Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, organisation, and resources.
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued.
Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, structured learning space.
Collaborate with teaching staff and SEN specialists to support pupils with additional needs.
What We’re Looking For:
A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting children.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Confidence in managing behaviour in line with school policies.
Previous primary school experience (desirable but not essential).
An enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
