Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of an Assistant Reception Manager to join our Practice in Wilmslow.


Responsibilities

* Support the Reception Manager and the Team with the smooth running of the department.
* Management duties alongside reception duties: staff rotas, annual leave requests, staff training, answering of telephone, making of appointments, welcoming patients and visitors, listening and understanding patients' needs, resolving queries or signposting patients to the appropriate service or appointment.

Job responsibilities

As part of the team you would be expected to provide an excellent service to our patients.

The work is varied and includes Management Duties alongside Reception duties which include answering the phone, making appointments, welcoming patients and visitors, listening and understanding patients needs, resolving queries or signposting patients to the appropriate service or appointment.

You need to be well motivated and friendly with good people skills, enjoy working in a busy environment and being part of a team. You will be able to communicate clearly and effectively, showing understanding, care and assertiveness when appropriate.

You will be capable of developing good administrative and organisational skills and have experience of using computers.

Experience of working in healthcare is not essential as long as you possess the above qualities and are willing and eager to learn new skills and are flexible in your approach to work.

We will provide in-house training and continuing support.

* General Health — Good health and attendance record.
* Qualifications — Good general education.
* Communication Skills — Written and verbal communication skills should be excellent. Good record keeping is essential.
* Organisational Skills — Must be able to organise, and maintain the smooth running of the reception area. Time management is important.
* Confidentiality — Must understand the importance of confidentiality at all times.
* Information Technology — Keyboard skills are essential.
* Special Aptitudes — Confident to work alone in the office.
* Interests — Interested in own personal development.
* Circumstances — Must be flexible in availability to cover for colleagues sickness and holidays.
* Disposition, Personal Qualities — Confident in both written and verbal communication.
* Sense of humour.
* Calm disposition.
* Highly organised.
