Overview
Due to the postholder leaving to undertake another role in the pharmacy department, an opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly and dedicated Pharmacy Clinical Trials team. We are responsible for the pharmacy aspects of clinical trials involving Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPs) within the Trust. UHDB is a research-active Trust with trials across multiple sites and clinical specialties.
You will be part of a specialised team of UHDB pharmacists and technicians who ensure all aspects of pharmaceutical input occur in accordance with legal requirements and Good Clinical Practice. This includes prescribing, dispensing, administration, stock management, storage and disposal of trial IMPs and non-IMPs. The role is primarily based at Royal Derby Hospital, with work planned across UHDB sites including Queens Hospital Burton, as determined by trial activities.
You will interact with Trust staff, trial sponsors and patients, and receive a full pharmacy clinical trial induction from both the QHB and RDH sites to integrate you into the team.
