We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Scrub Team Leader to join our Theatre Department on a full time, permanent basis at Spire Bushey Hospital. We see a wide and varied caseload, we are looking for someone experienced across general surgeries and with experience in Ophthalmic

Duties and responsibilities
1. Lead a team of skilled staff to provide planned care for patients requiring perioperative intervention.
2. Support the theatre manager by providing regular updates and reports on your team and speciality.
3. Provide specialist advice and expertise to the team and consultants.
4. Liaise with consultants regarding planning and special requirements for lists.
5. Advise and work with SSD and other key departments on specialist equipment that must be kept in good working order.
Who we're looking for
6. RN or ODP qualification
7. SFA would be desirable but training can be provided
8. Ophthalmic experience
9. Analysing staff and theatre management problems and coming up with viable solutions
10. Working as a perioperative practitioner in and across multi-disciplinary teams
11. Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes
12. Challenging consultants to influence evidence based practice
13. Supervisory experience (desirable)
